i am having trouble with my engine.. it has fresh full.. and stalls in idle after a fuel stalls if you full throttle you can get it to take off but and it will run in idle for a while after that but once you shut it off and restart it it will just stall out again and you have to repeat the same process.. you can also hear a back fire sometimes when it stalls out.. the water coming out the **** hole is also pretty hot... i think it could be the impeller but im no mechanic... i am willing to check the impeller myself but have no idea how to get to it.... anyone have any ideas what it could be? if it is the impeller does anyone have a repair manuel that could send me a copy of the pages i need to repair it?

thank you in advance for the help

suggest you change to a new fuel hose pump. could be this rubber pump (cheap) that cannot hold the vacuum anymore when in idle. had more or less the same synpthom on my '98 model 70HP.

running hot also could indicate you have a lean cylinder(s). you need to clean/rebuild your carbs, replace water pump too if its been over 2 years since last one. do the gearcase oil too every year. new plugs too. check all fuel lines/connections.
