1995 Johnson 175 lower unit leak

I have a 1995 Johnson 175 fast strike on a 1995 Stratos 285 Pro XL bassboat. I noticed a a small amount of gear lube has begun to seep out of a weep hole that is located on the starboard side of the lower unit in front of the water intake. Any ideas? What seals are bad Etc. I usually do most repairs myself . I also have a service manual but it never mentions this particular problem.

Are you certain it's gear lube and not unburned 2-stroke?

Check LU for signs of water intrusion...milkyness!
