1995 javelin 379fs oxidation repair

I have a 1995 javelin 379fs that is in need of some TLC due to oxidation. Before I begin removing the oxidation i was wondering if anyone knows wether this boat has a gel coat or a clear coat? The boat is chalky, faded, some pitting in the coat. any suggestions on repairing and protecting?
any info will be greatly appreciated!

I have the same boat, except mine is a 1994 with 115 Evinrude, would be nice to learn how the oxidation repair went and what you used, I have a couple of rough spots on the back of mine that I will eventually need to tend too. Also, was wondering if that trolling motor you have was origianal (I'm guessing not) and what lb thrust is it, recommendations as I need a new one, and what is the shaft length. thanks
