Found a fuel leak at the vapor seperator. I knew there was a fuel leak somewhere but could not find it . Today was a beautiful day in So Cal so that I spent some time working on the boat. When I squeeze the primer bulb fuel comes out of the vapor seperater at the gasket. I think it has been like this for sometime now. I plan to replace the (rubber)gasket before using the boat again. Besides leaking fuel would there be other symptoms due to air entering the vapor seperator? I ask because I am curious if this would create a lean condition or sound the fuel restriction alarm or have any other consequence. Thanks in advance for your replies.

It shouldn't sound the fuel restriction alarm but may cause your VRO to pump to much oil due to an air leak in the fuel system. Do you have an OMC factory service manual? All test procedures are in there.

I would think the vapor seperator inlet needle, seat and perhaps the float need to be replaced, in addition to the gasket.

I has a squirt coming from the connection area and it was just a rolled O-ring under the connection..... I found it with the airbox off and i squeezed the primer bulb...and there it was!!!!!!!!

if it is a bad Oring....you wont need to do anything else but replace it...
