The block has cracked on my 150 I would just replace the engine but in the past year I have replaced lower unit replaced power pack rebuilt all the carbs and some other part replacements. The boat is to nice to scrap any ideas or no anyone that has an engine block or maybe an engine with blown lower unit. Thanks

Depending on just exactly where the block is cracked.... many blocks have been patched with "Gray Marine-Tex". The company also makes a "white" formula but I find that the "Gray" formula is much stronger. Blocks (engines) patched back in the 1990's with this compund are still running strong... just a thought.

Joe's right. I've never done this but know people that have and run their engines for years with no issues. Post up some photos.

I have tried j.b. marine weld it lasted about 2 minutes. Standing behind boat looking at engine the crack is on right side where the cylinder meets the crankcase it started under flywheel cover there it is the worst but it goes behind all 3 cylinders. It is toast. I would love to find an engine where someone blew their lower unit but I imagine that will be hard to find
