Hi all, I picked up this boat for free and cannot get the prop off, has not seen water in 15 years but started right up and sounds great. Any guess what pitch prop came with this boat and motor ?
The number on the prop is DM 2182420201127_161606 (2)--;[.jpg

That's a Mercury lower unit.
The prop, if it's still OEM should have a part # under the nut and washer.
DM 21824 propeller , that # shows it's probably an aftermarket, maybe a Michigan prop, maybe a Solas??
Somewhere between a 10p-14p

I use a puller with 3 chains adapted to the head. It needs a BIG hose clamp to keep it tight or the chains slip off.

Thanks for the reply, no number under the nut and washer like my 25 johnson. I did try a puller with chains with no luck, started to bend blades. I may need to cut it off. Been treating it with PF for a few weeks.

props should be removed every 6 months to a year and the shafts greased to prevent this. you may be cutting the prop off.
