ezeke-well the engine has been sitting for 2 yrs they said they treated the gas but i don't think that will help after 2 yrs. i have a mechanic coming thur. to install a new power pack i would do it my self but i could not find the right socket any where for the fly wheel nut. i am going to pull one carb and try to clear the jet. thanks for the link on the book again all your help is much appreciated

carb cleaner may not be enough to clean the jets. if you have compressed air use that. if not small monofilament (4 or 6 lb test) can be used to clean the jets. also check to see if the magnet may have done any damage to your timer base.

the one carb i just took off looks clean sent a pic is the jet lower right that has to be.when i picked up the boat he had the fly wheel off all the magnets where still there so i don't know what the hell he was saying.

Check and clean all 3 orifices and the capillaries that run from them. The most likely ones to be clogged are the high speed jets in the float bowls because they are at the bottom where any junk accumulates.

great pic the 2 top where clean the high speed i did not remove did not see that after i removed the drain plug. i assume that takes a very small driver correct?

See the thumbnail for the size; you can grind the sides off a small screwdriver.
