Had my 90 sea ray 160 w/115 out today. I had put in a new water pump two weeks ago after the motor had ran hot on a short voyage the previous week. After installing new thermostat, I test ran motor, pee stream came out, everything sounded fine. Shut down and wasnt able to take out until today. This afternoon I Put her the water, idled out of the bay, overheat alarm goes off, motor starts to misfire, shudder and no power. I was able to idle back in luckily but motor would surge. When I got home I ran the motor with the muffs on and could not see any water coming out the pee hole and it idles fine but misses when you rev up. Hard to start too. Do you think I may have a blown head gasket or worse? Where is a good starting point as Im about to give up.
