first, welcome aboard

the pics look bad. however we can not tell as you are way too close for us to see context.

stand back 10 feet and take a pic

additionally, you will find more rot and issues in your 35 year old boat. it is all fixable, it just takes work. look at the 3rd sticky at the top of the forum and look at link 14 for the definitive guide on fixing fiberglassboats

I can't get back any further the boat is on the trailer. I guess we could lift it off but the boat weighs almost 4500 lbs it's supposed to only weigh 2200-2500 lbs. Due from taking on water. They ended up putting D range tire on because of the normal tire blowing because of the wieght. I know all of the foam is rotten, you can see the foam through the hole. They want me to patch it for the upcoming summer and the completely restoration next winter.

Not worth the risk at 2000lb + overweight.

Is trailer & axle rated for 4500lb?

Full gut & rebuild or nothing......

Thanks, that what I was thinking also. So when she first got the boat 12 years ago the damage was already there but it had caulk and fiberglass resin I'm the hull and covered with some type of tape and a Keel Guard. She loves the boat is but it's the hull is gone. Do you think she can get another hull and switch everything over to the new hull . Or gut it and rebuild it.

That is the bottom of the V on the bow? looks like from beaching or trailer damage. Would be concerned that the stringers are roached too.

Based on pics you posted plus the description of being 1 ton overweight, I'd let this one go to the dump and look for a different boat. You could pull the engine and working components to keep or sell, or try to sell the whole boat for parts. I'd probably opt for the latter, as that way you won't have to deal with paying to scrap the hull.
