Bought them already they are discontinued in most places.

You can get the part numbers from Crowley, marineengine.com, boats.net.....if they don't have it, then run those numbers on ebay.....they usually have a lot of NOS and NLA parts.....

So I I broke 2 rings thatbgo on the crankshaft and looking at the diagram I thought they were tye F85410 so I got them. Turns out those are not it.
Theybare Crancase seals F316579.
These cost a bit new, I found them used from a 140 engine for 29 bucks for all 3.
My question is can I buy the used ones or do I need new ones?
Book says to replace with new.

Some will argue.----About $17 each for new.----I suggest you install new !!

I have never replaced those if they was not broken, but I am stingy.
BTW I have never had a crank case leak that made any issue depending on those crank case seals either.
But no bad ide to replace them.

Seal #25-F84342 Ebay has them, marineengine.com has em also.....
So I replaced the seal but have no clue where that grommet goes. Don't tell me it goes down by where the pipe goes through the casing to keep it steady see picture 1

One more question on the drive shaft on top there is a rubber sleeve of sports that I am not sure where it goes.

That's where it goes.....if you take that bracket off you can slide the water tube out, put the grommet in that hole, then slide the tube back down through it...might have to put some lube on it if it is tight. Keep it straight when putting it back in and will go right back into the pump.

It looks right in your first pic.....there is a metal collar that is installed first with the cupped side facing up, then the rubber seal is seated down into the collar. When the shaft is pushed into the hole it seals out water. Some say it is not really necessary and will run fine without it. I would put it on since you have the parts already. Is up to you.

I tried to pull on the water tube but could not get it out. So it should come out easily? I can try to pull harder. For a while I thought I have to drop the lower part where the water impaler is.

Mine came out pretty easy.....might need to turn it some while pulling....might be seated into the pump kinda tight.

Ok I will do that tomorrow.
The motor is done. I did not put back the head cover or tye exhaust cover to reduce weight, putting it back on will be a pain. I don't know if I can use an engine hoist don't think they go that high up. I was thinking to have a few friends like 4 help me put it back on. That exhaust piece was a ***** to slide out. So between that and the drive shaft going into the crank it should he fun. Fingers crossed.
I also changed the seal from the bottom crank bearing. The other one should be on the top

If you can't get the tube out, not a huge deal, main thing was replacing the seal.

Which sealant is good for the exhaust tube to engine . Can I use the Loctite? It says Flange sealant.

Johnson / Evinrude " gel seal "----or----Loctite 518 ----Use nothing else.
I see nobody around for my previous so for the exhaust piece can I use the Loctite or something else?
I want to install the engine tomorrow. Waiting on this.
