This engine has sat for the last 3 years. I can get it to start but it runs for maybe 30 seconds and then dies. I hooked up a seperate fuel supply and it didn't help. I decided to spray carb cleaner in it and I could keep it running but if I stopped spraying carb cleaner it would die. Any help is appreciated

Thanks to all my military brothers out there.
And the ones that didn't come home.

Sarge, it needs a carb rebuild and a thorough going over of the fuel system as a whole. Spraying carb cleaner into the carbs to start it will wash all of the oil from the cylinders and the crank and screw the engine. Stop it. :)

It might be running out of fuel. Try constantly priming the fuel hose bulb while running the engine. If the engine runs well (incl. at WOT) while you constantly prime the fuel hose bulb- you probably have a weak fuel pump.
