1990 60 horse Mariner motor

I am looking at a boat with a 1990 60 horse motor. Is this a good running motor?

We can,t see it and hear it run so wee really couldn,t answer that but 60HP is a good motor for a smaller type boat

when was it last service water pump oil in the LU tune up did you check the wiring
? is the carb rebuilt did they do the fuel pump ? these are the questions that need to be answered . as far as i,m concerened all mercury engine are good except when there broken. hope this helped. being that this part of the forum is for repair I assume that you are not refering to a new engine thefore the engine you buy is only as good as it has been maintained sorry if you think i,m being sarcastic but think look and ask questions before you buy

if i heard it run i would say..i have a 2 mariners and have been great runners and what is also cool is that regular mercury 60 horse parts are interchangeable nice to know..same motor just a different color scheme
