1990 50hp Force pops at high speed help?

1990 50hp force it starts fine, runs fine at idle, I can troll for walleye all day no problems.
When I hit the gas and start going it pops every 30 seconds or so, it doesn't seem to be loosing power except for the pop. Any ideas?

I think you may have a lean misfire. The fuel idle mixture is to lean on the high idle fuel mixture.

Is it possible your loading the plugs up with all of the low rpms while trolling?Just a thought,what do the plugs look like? Let us know when you get a chance to check them. Mopar man

A defective coil can cause a high speed misfire as well.
Older Harley's were famous for this.

Thanks for the help, it turned out to be a squeezed fuel line where the fuel line entered the case of the motor at high speed it was starving for fuel.
