1989 sunliner. 302 pcm engine and pcm psr15 outdrive.

Hello all, 1st time posting here and really looking to gain some knowledge on what I have. I can't really seem to find much on any of the major social media groups and I've called and talked to Vince at skidim today after seeing some YT videos of them working on some of the pcm engines. So I'm in the middle of restoring my 89 sunliner and have discovered the transom to be rotting away, so time to pull the engine, transmission and outdrive. It has the pcm 302 engine and a velvet drive 1500 transmission paired with a Psr15 outdrive also made by pcm way back in the day. I'm really hoping someone might be able to help with the order in which things need to be disassembled and pulled from the boat, and how to do so without messing anything up. I know that it's pretty hard (impossible really) to get parts for these drives so that's why I'm trying to take extra care in doing the job right! Thanks in advance if anyone is able to help.

Drive comes off, then motor comes out, the transom assembly comes off. Call PCM to get the manual

Cody, I have an 87 Sunliner with a PCM 4140 setup, which is a Mitsubishi 4 cylinder, Velvet Drive 1500 trans, and a PSL20 Pleasurecraft outdrive. I'm in exactly the same boat (pardon the pun) as you. I just pulled the outdrive out of mine, and can tell you how to do yours.

If you've already pulled yours, then I would still like to exchange information with you. Currently, I'm still trying to figure out how to get the H joint out of my outdrive without damaging anything.
