Maybe a much newer boat than a 35 year old one

Do I want to consider an inboard ski boat? Starting to do research on
Depends on how you want to use it.

The low deadrise hulls that give smooth wakes can be rough riding in some chop.

If you are into skiing then go for it.

Not sure what else you would use a mastercraft for. I think I am going to wait till winter to look a little further at different boats. The boat can't be made in the 2000's they are all wake boat combos I want a ski and tube boat only.

Unless you're a tournament skier , I would be looking for a 19-21 ' open bow type boat . Tubing, indicates you have younger riders , as in kids . They will take up room on the boat , Ski boats usually have closed bows , less sitting room , and straight inboards , more draft and a straight up disaster $$ if you smack ground .

When we are enjoying a day on the water the pontoon is deployed as the staging area with the Lilly pad and the float toys, coolers etc. The boat will be used only on the lake I live on so it is well known not likely to make contact with the bottom. The boat I am looking at is replacing a boat that is used as a ski boat I am looking to upgrade based on my families usage.

I have thought of the same as well. My college age kids are getting good at slaloming and I want to support it.

We have a 21 ft sea ray 200 sport that is great bulls like a bull but the wake is huge so often we use my friends Glastron 185 / 4.3 VP as the wake is smooth for skiing.

Ideally I love love to find either a V drive does does ok for skiing and if ballasted can do ok for surf. Ironically the big wake on our Sea Ray is about all we can handle wakeboarding.

If you have a party barge already probably makes sense to have a ski boat if you can find one older and in good shape. When its choppy take the toon out...

Let me know what you come up with, would be interested to see.

The lake I live on is long and narrow usually pretty easy to find some calm water. We usually just run with a spotter in the tow boat sometimes one more. People especially kids I don't want to see get thrown and bounced around the boat while pulling a skier or a tuber so we have the staging boat. Biggest factor is I want a ski boat with a big V 8 in it. My son is an avid skier too

19 -21 ft with a 5.0 or better yet 5.7 even a stern drive will do very good skiing. Not competition type passes but for a bunch of avid lake lovers its good.

I have a 5.0 upgraded with a 4 bbl edlebrock and 4 blade prop for a azz heavy boat it pops up pretty good.

Went with a 1990 ProStar 190 less than 500 hours on the engine single owner. Now just have to covert the old Lund Tyee back into a fishing boat.

I am excited this morning. I broke out a new blank book for the boat to record hours etc, notes on operation. 10:00 have an appointment at the closest storage facility, the boat will be stored inside when not being used, moored on the weekends.
I am going to be a little more protective of this boat and have to explain that this boat is not like the old go fast boat with an outboard, you don't just jump in fire up the motor and go. I am also happy to have a great boat for my kids and grandkids that will be burned in their memories, great memories with the family that is why I moved here. I would much rather see my grandkids into boats and water sports than horses, I lived that horse life boats are better.

Get that Tyee back in shape! Loads of fishing left to do. We had one for 10 years, miss it.

It can be done...:pulled my mom's third ex-husband's girlfriend (I'll give you a minute...) last summer at 75, deep water start on my double high-wrap. I was pretty damn impressed.
