1989 Johnson 70HP won't idle HELP!

All vacumn checked and good, carbs rebuilt, timing and link and sync. set. Compression 85#'s
Is it shot? Just need to get by this summer.

I have seen many engines run on 80-90 # compression, is your vro dumping to much oil/does oil drip from lower unit? you may be able to richen your fuel and get it to idle, how does it run besides not idleing?

VRO replaced with standard pump. No oil dripping from lower unit, runs good above 1300 if it is trimmed up. 1500 and above runs as it should.
New head gasket and lower unit resealed to power head.
