I've got a 10 foot 1989 funjet mini jet boat that has never been finished from the factory. All I have is the top and bottom of the hull and hin number. I want to build the boat but had a few questions before I get started. The top and bottom hulls were never mated together. How do I connect both of them? Instead of the factory 50hp or 70hp jet drive system, could I modifiy an outboard motor to work? What hp?

Ayuh, the sections are dry fited, 'n either riveted or glued....

Donno if you can refit it to an outboard or not,...
Got any pictures, or Ideas,..??
It'll take a stout transom, that Jets don't have...

I will be reinforcing the transom and build an offset bracket. I'm thinking 15hp minimum.
I do have pics but can only email them. No computer.

Have you gotten any farther along in your project? I recently bought a 1987 Funjet and am planning on restoring it to factory original if possible. Any idea where to pick up a factory service manual or an original owners manual for these things? I have not had any luck with Google searches or E-Bay either...
