I bought a new motor to replace the subject motor last November. I've had the Evinrude stored in my garage since then. I got it out this week to get it fired up and now it won't start. Before November it ran fine with no problems and now the starter won't even engage, it doesn't make any sound or move at all. I've noticed that the solenoid clicks when I press the start button, but only the first time I push it. After that I have to disconnect and reconnect the battery cables before the solenoid will click again when pushing start. I'm wondering if this is a bad solenoid??? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
