1989 Evinrude 150 hp

Took the boat out yesterday (4/29/23). It ran fine 2 weeks ago. Now it starts and idles fine, in fact can use separate throttle to rev the engine no problem, but when giving gas in gear bogs down and dies. Could get back to dock under very low speed. Can anyone help? I have been advised to ...
1) What are the compression values ? WHY? It runs fine when not in gear
2) Does spark jump a gap of 3/8" on all leads ? (NEW with no electrode)
3) Are carburetors confirmed clean ? WHY? It runs fine when not in gear
4) Running with VRO in service and tested ? WHY? It runs fine when not in gear
5) Water pump impeller replaced ? (BRAND NEW)
6 Are the 3 carburetors all opening up ? WHY? It runs fine when not in gear
7) Is the timer base rotating ? WHY? It runs fine when not in gear

Would fishing line wrapped around the propeller cause any of this? How should the propeller turn by hand?

BTW I figured out that it was the fuel line and fuel filter. I guess you dont know as much as you thought!! Like I said it was sudden.

The problem ended up being the throttle linkage

Then you had nothing to fix to begin with because " it ran fine when not in gear" so why go thru the trouble of fixing what wasn't broken ?

what do you mean "throttle linkage"? only way it would bog is if you didn't have it connected so can't be that... right??
