i still need to spray top and finish however folks have been doing a ton of dusty things next door so i have to wait till that slows down , also trying to come up with a idea on back edge to make a nice finish on roof.
for switch panel i need some piping to go around bottom edge to finish it off nice but not sure what to use yet.
the light is dead center the hole in back where camera and anchorlight wires come out arent so i can mount them center :)

Great job Micky ….. you won't need the reader glasses to see where your at on that big screen. Looks like you'll be fishing soon!

it will mainly be for when sitting aft chilling fishing or what ever ,or a copilot in bad weather, the small screen works great while driving , i had the small screen setup on a previous boat i had done but the bigger screen was

the gauges are just the fuel oil water volt depth and trim, the switches control a crap load of stuff from left to right
1 fuel prime: push this for 20 seconds to make sure electric fuel pump is primed up
2 blower
3 bilge
4 anchor light
5 nav lights
6 spreader lights: 5 foot flood led light for top front.
7 cabin lights
8 leds : up for red down for white these are two seperate ribbon led lights i used inside of a j channell .
9 overhead lights : rear led floods for back of boat
10 wipers
11 livewell one
12 livewell 2
13 panal lights
14 Fridge
15 radar
16 wash down pump
17 underwater leds
18 transom lt
19 camera: up for front down for rear to achieve this i power the backup wire on the radio making it think i am reversing but the switch sends power to whatever cam i want to use.
20 windlass up for up down for dropping down. Going to be using small windlass as this is mainly a river bay boat shallows , pontoon style windlass will work fine.
21 horn
I chose not to go gps speedo this time as the radio has a app for gps speed :)
the cb and nav radio compartments i made using a plastic bin and filling inside to the shape i wanted with csm then breaking out trimming and spraying with white bed liner material to match the cracked ice frp i used on ceiling:) btw those frp panals are actually made with polyester resin :)
I will explain in a seperate post about the tv and radio thing if folks might be interested in duplicating , you can even use just about anything as the external monitor from 10 inch monitors all the way up but the bigger you go i would try to shoot for 4k to keep it looking sharp.
There are a few android radios outputting 4k now but i didn't have the cabbage to swing for that:)

wasn't there someone on the forums who can make switch panels with engraving?

Micky, what's the best way to determine what guage wire should go to each device?

amperage load then look at chart and determine length remember to count return ft of run in calculation so if its a 5 ft run its actually 10 ft. most things on boats dont draw more then 1 to 5 amps except large electric motors but led rope lights can draw some if you get too many on a run.

Dunno who, but you could have a cheap sign shop custom cut a vinyl piece with all the labels you want and then use it as a mask to etch them into aluminum or stainless. Pretty easy process, you just need to get the template made. Still probably cheaper than going to a machine shop to have it engraved.

PS... that amperage chart seems a little overkill lol... And it makes sense if its from a car audio site... Those audiophile people take stuff a little to serious...

Most homes have runs of 12AWG wire all through the walls and they are rated to 20 amps and some of them are probably well over 150' long. While its true you will get some minimal voltage drop over that length, the only things that might care are sensitive electronics like a depthsounder or radio... Lights, fans, speakers, other odd accessories will work fine with a small voltage drop... and honestly, the longest wires your probably going to have in a reasonable size boat is 20 or 30'..

Don't take it the wrong way, grossly undersized wire can burn your boat to the ground. But the chart above seems a little overkill...

Micky I'm not saying this to you at all either... your boat looks awesome and it looks like you really know what you're doing... It was more for me to go off lol... Theres no way I'm using 8 AWG wire for 10 amps in a 30' run....

well remember amperage is different for dc then ac :) 400 watts on a dc circuit can mean 33 amps where a 120 v circuit its only 3 amps if power factor of 1 is used . i only bring this up because a ton of folks always make the mistake of thinking the amperage of dc wattage is same as ac

mad the way you beat that is to have grounds around the boat then you don't have so many feet to run lessening the voltage drop i always have a forward ground and a rear ground before going to wherever batteries are so my total foot runs don't get insane like you just mentioned i usually run a number 6 or 4 to those grounds so i can be sure i have plenty of wire for all i have kicking out but as you see i usually have a ton of stuff wired:)

I totally get what you're saying... I work for a connector manufacturing company and when I used to be in our power connector group, I used to get annoyed when a customer would say they needed a power connector for there data center that would handle 5000W... Uhhh... 12V, 24V, 48V, 120/208V?, 400V? lol, that would mean the difference between like 400A or 12A... or your data center catching on fire or just getting a little warm.
