1989 25 hp Evinrude Cylinder head replacement Interchangable /Compatible years.

Have a 25 HP Evinrude with Cyl. head # 335635 damaged Spark Plug holes.Picked up a head with cast #s of 327672 D2 (that was advertised as a 335635 ) which the damaged head is #'d..) The 327672 Cyl head dome is quite different ..rest of head looks the same ..can this Head be used on my 1989 25 Hp ..Any help Greatly appreciated..Im stranded..Thanks I A

Why don't you just get the spark plug hole threads repaired?

As for the head... Any idea what it came off of? Pictures of both heads would be nice

I installed insert/s in the orig. cyl. head but messed up the angle of the Tap when cutting one . left me with a Hole too large for the insert...My mistake now I need an insert for the Insert..

Sellers Description.T.his is a used OMC Johnson outboard cylinder head. It is off a 1982 35hp Johnson - OMC # 335635 for the cylinder head and # 327673 for the cover plate. We had a marine sales/service shop for over 25 years, but closed up the retail store recently due to the bad economy. We are selling off our new and used inventory thru the internet. Let us know if we can be of service to you. This cylinder head is being sold "as is, no warranty". Gaskets not included.

You can do a part search on boats dot net. That will generate a "where used" report. Should be helpful in finding your replacement head.

Those heads do not interchange. The 25 hp head is different than the 35 hp head in 1982. A 1989 35 hp head will interchange you need to find the correct part #.
