1989 200hp over heating

Need help figuring this out. I have changed pump, poppet valve, t-stats. I have good flow and pressure but the water is steaming when it comes out of tail.

You could be getting exhaust into the water through a bad gasket. You could also be plugged up somewhere so the water can't flow properly.

A water pressure gauge would sure help in the diagnosis.

Thanks. I will try that. I also heard a bad head could cause this. Pressure gauge is coming. I will let you know. Thanks again. James
