I would love to have a cottage next to a slip...cool pics!

I loved that quaint little village..see the flag blowing in the backround, that meant we were taking that little Grumman to the pine barrens lol.

That place has been gone a looong time now JC..as usual, I built a house there, then sold it...I gotta stop doing that heh

Sam, mike and gang, I will get her out there again...just may take a while ;)..A sunny day like that offshore will be even better with new engines....and some beer ;)

Hey!..good to see you around TB, I still chuckle when I think of that name, Blue Grandma, even more now that I know your profession lol..

When you get a chance, post some pics of the Clipper, I can appreciate a sailboat, just never learned to do it....to me, Jive Ho was something id pass on the corner in my younger days, hanging in Manhattan...like watemann says, the best of times  :D

Update:

I went out back this afternoon, to get some filleting don on the firewall, so tomorrow I can tab it to the hull bottom.

Have to also figure out a pod for the new charging system....then I can finish glassing the firewall bulkhead.

Im not very good at dc wiring, so I may need some help soon, I also didn't label this area ...

I managed to get a good amount of the firewall tabbing in today, its tedious because im kneeling between the stringers, with my back up towards the transom, kinda glassing myself in a corner...Ill have to switch to side to side after this. Ill post some pics up later on.

From what I can remember, there was a metered charger attached to the firewall, with a few inline breakers, 2 non matching battery switches, and 3 batteries.

Im not sure if the old charger even works anymore, but is kinda crusty, a little rusty..so if I reuse it, ill have to paint it. Still old tech tho.

The way im contemplating is to go with the Blue Sea Battery management panel, with built in switches and breakers, and add a few ACR's. I just have to build out a box from the firewall, to flush mount it, its 3.25" deep.

Yep KC. the newer stuff is nice, still on the fence tho $$

Updade:

Went into the tent this afternoon and it was just over 80 deg, so I ground out the area for the firewall tabbing. Knocked down the high spots and globs, then spackled the low spot in the factory wavy gravy hull. I tabbed 2 staggered layers of 17oz abgout 70% of the 10' bulkhead.

Nice work, wish I had time to work on my boat. To busy with house projects and playing taxi service for my 14 yr old's soccer games, then that 4 letter word WORK get in the way during the week. I know I will get there. Lets hope the weather gods keep smiling on us. Mike

Thanks Mike, a little progress is better than none...

KC, you get a cookie!....I love the original shining, the remake with Steven Weber was good, but no one can hold a candle to Jack Nicholson, it seemed like he just played himself!
