Hello so I’ve been looking everywhere with no luck about the timing marks on a 1988 force 125 engine. The flywheel on this motor has 3 timing marks bunched up with the middle timing mark being bigger and then to the right of them 3 is a single timing mark. I understand how to go about timing it except which mark is which. If I set my timing light to 28 degrees what mark should be lined up with the indicator?

The single one far to the right of the three is 0 dgr (TDC).
The one in the middle of the three is 30 dgr BTDC, the one to the left 32 dgr and the one to the right 28 dgr.
The factory setting is 30 dgr TDC but with worse fuel today with more ethanol I would suggest to retard it and set the timing to 28 dgr BTDC, but it is up to you.
To obtain 30 dgr you can do it in two ways.

Static: You set the timing at 28 dgr by running with the starter.
This will end up with 30 dgr at WOT.

Dynamic: You set it by running at WOT to 30 dgr.

You do the timing by using a timing light and checking the top (#1) cylinder.

Just to add to Nordin's reply;
You will have to bypass the neutral-switch to crank the starter in full forward gear (WOT) OR jump the starter across the starter-solenoid

If I understand this correctly? & you're working with a timing light I'm thinking of?
You don't "set" your timing-light this feature is for 4-stroke engines to adjust the advancement.
With a 2-stroke you only use the flash pointed @ (in this case) 28 degrees mark

If you have a timing light that you can pre advance the timing and you set it to 28 dgr, you should see the zero mark if it is spot on.
If you have to adjust you shall adjust it so it shows the zero mark.
If you do not pre advance, it should show the 28 dgr mark.
