Hi Guys,

Replaced thermostat/water pump/head gasket/ lower engine mount…. Running like it should mostly…..
I’m running it a little rich, has 145 compression on all 4, but should I run it rich and 3/4 throttle, or nail it to 💯 throttle??

Video of her running in a bucket.

My twin Force 88/85hp. ran best at 44-4600rpm.
3.2 mpg
Past that it was faster but the economy suffered.
I found the right prop and load along with trim position makes all the difference.

Thank you kindly….. I’m happy to run her at 3/4 throttle and around 35M.P.H as opposed to full throttle and 45 M.P.H…..

The fish will still be there 🙂

Fuel burn was pretty good. I used about 15 liters for a realistic 2 hours run time, including trolling and low speed “ get her on the wharf” running…..

Just a reminder the head bolts need to be re-torque after about so many hours after replacing. Not sure how many hours, but usually I do it after completing the break in hours. However, in your case no break in is required since you did not change pistons or rings. Break in hours is 4 hours at different speeds and 25:1 fuel oil mix.
