Usually mine will take about 2-3 crank overs before it fires after being stored for 5 months in the off season.
Open throttle all the way to let the choke close
pull handle out (if OMC remote control) and advance throttle about 1/3 to provide fast idle (marine carbs to not automatically set fast idle like auto carbs)
Crank over, may need to pump the throttle to get it to fire if carb is empty
Then lower idle to about 1200 rpm to let it warm up
