1987 OMC Cobra 3.0 Cracked block fix?

I have an 1987 Bayliner Capri with a 3.0L OMC that my friend basically gave me because the block is cracked on the side just below the intake manifold. Was wondering if there is any way to repair a cracked block or just have to bite the bullet and get a short block or long block, whatever is available?

If it's also leaking internally, you need a new block. If only externally you can probably clean it up and throw some JB weld on it and hope for the best.
