Here's a view from up front. The plan is to put some more storage on the back side of the console there to hold our tackle trays.

Here's the livewell. Not sure how big it is but I know from experience that it can hold a 4lb bass and a 32" pike at the same time with plenty of room to spare. :playful:

55lb thrust trolling motor is mounted up front. We got a really great deal on it used and it's served us great so far! It's a 12v motor and we have 2 batteries hooked up for double the battery life.

Here's our radio box. This was a quick last minute addition before our WI trip. This box houses the radio, trolling motor plug in, battery charger plug in along with a 12v socket that we can use to charge our phones or whatever.

Now I already know what all of you are thinking... "Wow what a beautiful boat, Brain and Joe sure did do a nice job! It's a shame they have to put that old 125hp Force on the back of a brand new looking boat." Well fear not ladies and gents....we have a surprise in store.

what is ontop the gunwales. carpet or nautolex?

what is the material holding rod tubes?

one or two livewell? I don't have any metal fab tools so I will use a coleman cooler

Thanks Joe for getting things updated. Sorry I just kind of fell of the earth on you guys. I should have all kinds of time for the next 4-5 weeks as I had both knees replaced on 10-22. Leaning towards the''good decision'' category at this time. First few days was iffy.
On top of gunwales is nautalex
Used a hole saw to drill holes in plywood and secured pvc with 5200. Plywood was sealed with one of the deck restore products.
We have one livewell installed up front and will install a second under rear casting deck.

Great work there Lokonn and fam! Really liked how you took your time and got it done right, rather than cut corners. Working on mine and I've hit some snags with getting time to work on it! Easy to lose track and not do things right.....

Consoles turned out really nice, sparkly baby!

Great work and take it easy while "on the mend"

Frey

Where did the batteries end up?

So as you may know, we decided to go with a new motor instead of putting the old force back on. My dad and I haven't had the best of luck with outboard motors and we wanted something that we could count on start up the moment we turned the key. With that in mind we looked and the Merc OptiMax and the Evinrude Etec. We ended up bolting on a 2012 115hp Evinrude Etec to the transom and have been very pleased so far! This thing is QUIET. With a slight breeze it's hard to tell if the thing is even on while idling. It pushes the Blue Fin about 38/39mph...maybe 40 with a good tailwind  It's plenty fast for us! Here are some pictures of the freshly installed etec! Enjoy!

Ohhhh Yeahhhh !!! You are gunna love the e-tec ... I sure love mine ! :joyous:
Nothing like just hitting the key and ready to go .. You don't have to touch the warm up bar ... Just don't run it out of fuel ... Takes a while to reprime .. Not that I have ever done that ... :lie::whistle:
