Will do thanks. What is the most common problem with these engines? Electrically anyways

I dont think there really is a weak link as such.....the insulation on the motor wiring harness has a tendancy to deteriorate over time causing corrosion in the wire strands but this is probably a fairly common occurance in all oldish motors.

Compression test is meant to be done warmed up with all plugs removed.....anything above 100psi are acceptable numbers.....you should really get around 130psi per cylinder though.....a bit less cold.
