Yes, the splash well is what I am referring to, wasn't sure of the exact technical name. We did have excess glue squeeze out, and when looking at the holes that are drilled already I can't see any voids.

The transom is ready to go in tomorrow night, I put four coats on it so hopefully that will help seal it. We should have the decking in over the weekend, starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel! The next step after that is getting the electronics set up, new fish finder, stereo, and a couple other goodies. Also rebuilt the carbs over the winter, so we are getting closer to a test and tune!

Hey that's great, it was a milestone for me to have my motor back on and running. So what motor do you have on your Islander?

It has been quite a while since I checked in here. What I refer to as the "fun(er) stuff" is done. The boat is 100% back together, and I am very pleased with how it came out. New transom and floor, only a few imperfections. I've only been able to get it out once, and didn't have any leaks. Watermann, it has a 150 Evinrude VRO which is the "not so fun stuff". Actually, that is the reason it has only been out once. Also has a 15 hp Johnson kicker. Here are a few pics. I was a little disappointed that two different gallons of the same paint on the floor did not match in color. IMG_0894[1].jpgIMG_0943[1].jpgIMG_0944[1].jpgIMG_0891[1].jpg

Glad to see you burned through the project and have her out on the water. Is the 150 giving you some trouble, it should be plenty of motor for the boat I would think. Looks like she's nice and solid again, good work!
