Replaced all gas lines, then noticed when i use primer it was leaking. Replaced it, when you hit primer it sprays out at fitting behind the carb, redid it 3 times, primer is hard, i think it is blocked behind carb, no gas getting thru. The only way to start it is pull a plug and put a little in cylinder, and fires right up, any ideas. Bought a 69 6hp in may, worked on it for months, surprise things broken you couldnt see. Got it purring like a kitten, new decals and painted. Oka i never said i was BRIGHT! Practicaly gave it away to my son, when i picked up this "Perfect" motor at a high price! Hey if it werent for hoses and primer it does run nice.

You need to redo it a 4th time. Fuel spilling out at the fitting means you installed it incorrectly. If you want more specific advice take some pictures of how you have it installed, pull the fuel line off take a pic of the the receiving end also check you've got the right size hose, maybe you accidently got a size too big.

"Fuel is blocked behind the carb" not sure what that means. Your fuel filter is clogged? What happens if you pour a little gas directly into the carb rather than pulling a plug and priming a cylinder.

When i pump up the ball i can see gas going thru line to carb bowl. Its that little skinney line from primer to fitting thats just back of where carb bolts on. Its a thin brass fitting. But the primer feels so hard to pull that the pressure is forcing it to spray out around the hose. I was just wondering how it went into intake behind card, like a straight hole, tryed a welding torch cleaning rod, maby i could of tryed a thinner wire

Check this out. I'm having trouble understanding your description but this guy briefly describes having to replace a fuel fitting on the same carb

Also I'm struggling to understand why your pumping the primer when it's already hard. As soon as it's firm you should stop pumping

No. When i squeeze bulb on fuel tank hose i can see gas going thru the gas line to the carb (its a clear line). Its plugged where the primer gas line goes into engine

So when you say "gas line to the carb" it doesn't actually attach to the carb, it's got a plug in it?

86 to about 89 6&8hp johnsons didnt have a choke button, they have a primer pull push button. The gas line to the fuel pump and pump to carb bowl are good, one is a clear line you can see fuel going to the carb. The primer has a small gas line that goes from the primer to a fitting just behind the carb. Its right beside the stud that holds the carb to the engine. Never dealt with this set up before. Didnt no il there was a nossel on the inside to spray fuel, or just a hole spuirting fuel toward pistons

The push / pull primer replaces choke flappers.----There should not be any visible leaks.

its simply a brass nipple with an angled hole right into the intake manifold. there are 2 major 0-rings inside the primer that get old. very easy to replace so its not so stiff/leaking. the issue here is if the primer leaks, it will effect idle quality.

Wire from wire brush will poke out that brass nipple.. it’s a small port prone to plugging up.

Oka so after the brass nipple it an angled hole. Thats where my problem is. Primers pushing fuel to nipple ok, nipple's not plugged, but fuel aint going down the angled hole. As soon as i apply more pressure on primer, it just sprays out around where hose clamps to nipple. No gas getting to intake

Thanks thats what i needed to no, i tryed a welding torch cleaner wire, but the one i used was maby a Little big. The nipple seams ok, but i didnt want to go poking to hard, not nowing if there was a jet or spray nossil i could damage.
