Its between the cylinder banks on top of engine ,it is half covered by the flywheel. You can do it but you will need to remove flywheel to access it....
Thank you for reply. where is the rectifier located? Also, if rectifier is replaced with a regulated rectifier, what effect does this have on regulator?

The part numbers for J150 (on CDI) contain a rectifier, a regulator, but recently they also sell a regulated rectifier. The regulator is about $ 200, the rectifier is about $20, and the regulated rectifier about $60. Does this mean that the regulated rectifier replaces both regulator and a rectifier?
