Does anyone know if my 1986 evinrude 120 has deflectors like in my old 1990 88spl? I had similar issues and as soon as I changed those deflectors issue resolved. Have replaced thermostats and impeller, alarm sounds for the first couple minutes, keep my eye on temp gauge, temp drops rapidly and alarm goes off slowly? any suggestions? Once temp falls and alarm goes off can run WOT for a long time and no alarm and cool on the temp.
