Not going to do a whole lot to this one, it will be a fishing / fun boat plus it is in way better shape than the Lone Star. Sand and paint for sure on the sides. The underneath looks fine.
A smart man would pull the 75 of the Lone Star (I think all cables will work lengthwise) and already have a good running kicker as well. Then sell the Lone Star and most likely even after some other work come out ahead. Will miss getting comments at the ramp on the LS though.
A stupid man will look for something at the 90 max rating to put on, maybe even like twins. That would be cool.
I was able to pick up at the stern so if there is foam appears not to be waterlogged.
Floor is solid, looks to have been replaced (diff carpet on the floor versus sides) but maybe not screwed down to well? I can see at one of the seams where it is curling up. Feels to be about 5/8" ply which is what the bench seat is made of.
The cap is carpeted, worn thru on the bow a bit and glue is turning loose on the cap. Initial thoughts are to cut that out and roll on some bedliner type material that has some grip to it.
All three seat are fine, one small rip in one. I'll probably make custom cushions for the bench and the bow area and only use the third seat for fishing. I plan to drop in a 3/4? decking for a fishing seat up there, removable when out for fun. Need an electric trolling motor.
It already has 4 rod holders. Only one beer holder?
It has a black plastic steering wheel, I hate those will change that out.
Trailer is serviceable, tires have a few seasons of life in them but unfortunately they are diff sized that one on the LS so cannot steal my spare off. New one has no spare. Plus my wheels and tires are too big to fit into the space avail under the fenders.
Need slight adjustment on the bunks, they are hitting the chines a bit off.
So ? there you have it, probably will be a slow roll on this one but you never know. Plus before I put the LS out there I have to replace the one bad section of floor. Not going to put out something with a soft spot on it. That will be a long weekend project to pull and pattern and gluing new vinyl etc.
