There is a slotted 10mm bolt on the swivel bracket used for what you are seeking. On this bracket motor rotates up/down on transom and motor turns on this bracket. See it at http://www.crowleymarine.com/mercury_parts/274/160.cfm (item 10 is bracket and item 13 is the slotted bolt.
