I take possession on Saturday, so I don't have any specifics yet...
But, I'd like to know if there are any general issues with this boat.
Weaknesses, strengths? Problem areas?

Chris Craft is an iconic brand in the boating world. Very few would suggest they make a bad boat.

That said, you're buying a used Chris. Condition is the big key there. The previous owner coulda' done it completely in ... or kept it like a museum piece.

Assuming the latter, there shouldn't be any glaring problems.

And the material it's made out of? Any issues with age?

I came across an old thread in which a poster said his 169 gas tank held 8 to 10 gallons. Can't say how reliable that info is !
If the tank is fiberglass it may not like gas with ethanol! Ethanol can soften early fiberglass tanks. If the tank is aluminum then no problem with type of gas, but older aluminum tanks can develop pinholes if they've been sitting in a wet environment.

Thanks for that info... I've gotten quite a few varied responses. I read 30 gals, prev owner says 20-25 gals and your source 10... Prolly somewhere in the middle!
