I recently aquired a 40 hp mariner. It was stored poorly and I believe there was water in the fuel system overwinter. What are the potential problems beyond fuel lines - pump - carbs? Also, is there any to get a rebuild kit for less than $150? All of the local parts places want between $150 and $200 seems high - but it is an old engine. Any help is greatly appreciated. I can provide more info, but not sure what details are important so I can answer any questions that might help.
