Hi all,
I'm having a problem with the cooling system on my Outboard. Compounded by the fact that I can't trailer my boat, so all work must be done on the water...

The problem is no water from the tell tale.
I have replaced the impeller and cleaned out the water jacket.
Any advice on what to do or where to look next?

Thanks in advance!

Likely the impeller is pumping just fine. Possible the telltale is plugged at the cowling nozzle. Not unusual for the nozzle to plug up, since it acts like a restrictor. It's easy to blow some compressed air back through the nozzle-that will clear it. If you don't have air available, you can run some string from a gas lawn trimmer up the nozzle.

Pay close attention to your over heat alarm and the temp of the engine in case the problem is not with a plugged telltale.

Hi Solittle,
I've only run it a little bit at a time to try out different solutions. So I certainly haven't been overheating it :)
What could other problems be, other than with the telltale?
