1983 mercruiser 488 unknown outdrive

i have a 1983 chris craft scorpion 215 WAC (sea hawk hull) with a mercruiser 488. i assume it has the stock outdrive it has no ident. markings. my research has found it is either trs or alpha one. how can i tell. any info on this boat or motor will be greatly appriciated. ty

Ayuh,.... Never seen a TRS on a 21' boat, nor with a 470 motor...

Whatever drive you have, it's of the Alpha class,...
It could be the Mod. 1, or the R drive, then there's the MR drive,+ then the Alpha 1....
They're ALL pretty much Interchangable....
Once you get to the Alpha 1, Gen.II,... It's sorta a beast of it's own,+ Won't interchange with Any of the others....

it has a flat cap with 4 bolts
