I have a 1980-83 evinrude 7,5hp outboard, (model nr: E8BALCIC) that i got for free when i bought a boat becouse it didnt start. I cant find a service manual anywhere wich makes it difficult to work on but so far i have rebuilt the carb, changed fuel and fuel lines, gone over all grounding points as well as searched the electrical system for faults. Only found a broken cable inside the flywheel wich i fixed but as far as i know i dont think there are any more electrical faults. But since i cant find a service manual im not sure becouse i dont know exact readings for everything. Anyways now, the engine has fuel, spark, air and good compression on both sylinders and it still wont start. I have thought it could be a timing error but becouse it doesnt have traditional timing marks and i cant find a service manual i don’t know what do do.
When i try and start it i get some backfire from the exshaust but nothing else.
If anyone have experience with these motors i would be really greatful for advice!!
