1983 25hp johnson won't pee...

got a 1983 25hp Johnson model j25RLCTE that sat for 9-1/2 years. I replaced the impeller and it sprays water out the exhaust holes strong but nothing from the pee hole. I removed the tube from the head and checked for blockage. would a corroded thermostat cause something like this to happen?

Nope, water should always pee on start up.
was it peeing before you changed impeller? you may of missed the intake pipe on reinstall

found the problem. the plastic nipple fitting was either glued at one time and accidentally sealed or it overheated melted closed at the threads end. removed and replaced and she pees like a race horse now. just need to set the low speed idle now.
