The day is drawing near and i'm getting pretty stoked......

Next Friday I hit the road. Manchester TN to St Louis to meet my brother (he's coming from springfield mo) then to Waterloo IA. Never been there and that clocks in at about 12 hour or less depending on how much he drives. I am not a speed demon and I enjoy my pee stops.

Then up early and on to Minneapolis a couple hours away. We'll spend the morning doing a shaketown tow and correcting anything that needs it. Not expecting anything as the PO just did his annual 600 mile vacation trip. All new tires including spare and he stated he re-packed the bearings this spring. He also tows a camper (with the boat behind) so I'm comfortable with his statements.

Afternoon and evening with brother and sister inlaw eating, laughing and drinking then Early out on sunday to drop brother back in STL and then i'm on to somewhere in MO called Perryville, then a few hours home on Monday.

So, if anything fun or anything 'fun' happens on the trip I'll take pics.

Not planning too much at this point, pretty sure that will change once I get her home. I do want to move the electric motor to the bow and find a similar era 4hp as a kicker. As luck would have it, there is one one the way home only about 30 minutes out of my way. Hmmmm.....

If you have time, maybe drive part of the way along the Mississippi.
The Great River Road in Wisconsin, the section from La Crosse south to Dubuque iowa is something to see. Should be awesome right now with near peak fall colors.

Its all part of the scenic byway that runs from northern Minnesota to the river delta in Louisiana.

Have a safe trip.

i have time, brother doesn't. I think that is the road Alton Brown took in his road trip series, Feasting on Asphalt.

Not here in MN, it's about 65 now and mid 70's are forecasted for Sat & Sun. You may find a little rain but that's no big deal.

And pics, we need pics. :)

Everything i hoped it would be. Looks like about what a five year old boat would look like. For under 3k I'm ecstatic. Head back south at ass crack o'clock after we dial in the towing set up.
