That should be a cool project.
I have the Airslot 16 and I think it's a great riding hull for it's size, your 24 should handle the rough with ease.

I dig this. Mine is a 79 airslot 24 fish, but i/o. I am in the middle of a total refit/redo=, starting with transom. These boats are beefy/buff/and can handle anything. good luck.

Things are moving very well, redone most of the teakwood, replaced and refiberglassed deck and rebuild the storage hole, replaced the skylight in cuddy with a 17 X 32 pop open hatch with mirror finish

just need to build new hatch for cuddy, and swap out the motor, a little wiring and buff out the boat, and wa-la ..

Re: 1981 airslot project.

Cool project. We used to have a 16' airslot bow rider when I was young. Got rid of it around 92, then eventually got our 97 Chris Craft Concept. My uncle has been watching for a larger airslot like you have to use for some light offshore fishing. The few times he used our old one, he loved the way it handled the waves out there. Said it was like riding on air. He used to have a 30' sportfish boat (don't know the make), named the Bull Red and he couldn't afford to store it in a slip any longer and got rid of it.
