1980 70hp johnson steering rod adapter

Hi guys,
im thinking of upgrading the steering on our boat from the cable/pulley system to a newer teleflex system.
im looking at using the steering tube which goes through the tilt tube however i dont have a steering rod attachment piece.
iv had a look through the parts diagrams availible online for my model but i cannot see this attachment piece anywhere.. iv noticed that there are different styles.
does anybody know the correct one i need?
are they compatible?

As far as i can tell the original steering kit for that motor is #0173039.....the stainless version is #0173700.....the connector rod only is #0173043 or stainless #0173694.....

That helps alot as thats the one i thought it was (also thanks for including the kit) as i need the whole thing with washers and nuts..
