1979 Starter brkt,2 stroke Evinrude

Need a starter brkt. for a 1979 2 stroke Evinrude, bud sold me motor , turns out brkt. broke and he said my problem. They want $200 plus for new one and that ain't going to happen. Anybody got one to sell? Thanks as always

I am surprised it is even available new. Check e-bay and others like it for a used one. Salvage yards are also a good place to check. Even the web search can turn up a part like that.

For example, I needed a replacement swivel rod for my '93 Merc, as the bottom end had rusted away. It was NLA. I found a used one in Green Bay. Since it was used in freshwater, it was like new.

Buy a parts motor, shop hard and you should be able to pick up a local one for $100 to $150
