1979 Merc 7.5hp oil mix

Hey guys,.... I'm lazy,.... Can somebody tell my how much oil to put in my 3 gallon gas tank, to mix with non-ethanol gas to run this motor,..??

Mix is 50:1----Is your tank volume in US gallons or IMP gallons ?---400 ounces requires 8 ounces of oil.------And ~500 ounces takes 10 ounces of oil.

Yes, a 50:1 mix is about 2-1/2 ounces per gallon.

Those small Mercury's are great motors.

Might not help you, being a foreigner thinking of units. 20ml for a litre, 100ml for 5 litre (bit over a gallon there) and 400ml for a 20 litre can (standard metal Jerry can size).

If so, that's a sweet lil putter, backtrolling perfection

Don't be using that wally world oil in it

I got one too . . . 10 years earlier model than @Bondo 's, but I love that motor.
