1979 johnson 140 run / starting problems

my motor will start up fine and run great for a while then it will stall and won't start it makes a clicking sounds like the starter is stuck our the battery is dead (but they are fully charged) so ill get the boat out of the water and it starts right back up !!!!!!! this has happen twice so far I don't know what the hell is up any help would be great

I thought the same but the frist time it died at 3/4 throttle so i dont know if there is any reason for it to died
