That's great news, many folks will benefit from you finding out the right part to fit perfectly. Nice work.:)

Here's the rub rai insert. I ordered this through a Starcraft Dealer. I e-mailed a lady at Barbour Plastics and she said the original profile is not run anymore and a custom run minimum is 1000 ft. She gave me a part number of a newer style Starcraft uses and also the corresponding Barbour Part number so I could print it off from their catalog and see what it looked like. Like I said, perfect fit and only $1.20/ft.

Wow! $80 well spent! You were right, totally perfect fit. If mine don't shape up nicely, I'll go that route too, they look excellent dj:D:D

That looks like it fits better than what is on my boat now, I can move mine up and down quite a bit. Very good find. Dont let that get burried in your project thread, it deserves a special place in the SC section.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I'll make it very obvious......

Same here, mine are more squared-off and loose. I think I am leaning towards replacing my rubrail now.:)

Cool work, as always, finding space/losing pounds is what it's all about on the Q !

High and dry!!

Notice the ratchet straps. The trailer is still strapped to the boat. I thought it would pull the boat down in the water further than it did. My Dad and I stood on each side for a while which submerged the side seem, but I don't think there was any way to get the front under the water. No leaks in what we did get in the water though.

Well you tested the transom :) But I don't think you tested your new rivets! Why not just float her out there still attached to the winch strap?

Anybody ever have their epoxy pot start smoking about 30 minutes after it's been mixed? I was laying some fiberglass cloth on my fuel tank support stringer (2x4), and I couldn't hold onto my pot, set it down and it was giving off smoke.
