Re: 1979 22' Starcraft SuperSport V5 Restoration
That'd be great. I will only have to get up an hour earlier. I'll leave the heat on tonight too......
Part of me likes re-inventing the wheel, and the other part is saying "It's crunch time".
As far as the dash, I think i'll keep the teak trim, order a switch panel and modify it to fit, and put my new gauges in the holes that are already there. That will be fine.
As far as the foam I mentioned in your thread, if I could get this thing in the water somehow to check that we're high and dry I think without question I would go pour in foam. No rattles, squeaks, better sound insulation, the most possible flotation, and probably the quickest.
I have been rounding up a lot of stuff, and working on finishing my seat bases (rounding off all the corners, reinforcing with aluminum angle, epoxying, and gettinf the pull-out leg mounted correctly so when the seat is upright it's all nice and snug.) so I can get them to the upholesterer.
This weekend I will finish installing/replacing the questionable rivets in the bottom of the hull. (maybe about 20)
Then in with the fuel tank, foam of some kind, floor, splashwell, paint, interior, and go to the lake. I may have missed a few things.....
