1978 6 hp seahorse

The motor pulls at ilde but when I ease the gas to it, it stops to pull and the motor revs. up. The motor is not jumping out of gear it just will mot pull under pressure. Does anyone know what the cause of this is.

Maybe a spun prop. The blades of the propeller are mounted on a rubber bushing to absorb shock. When the rubber gives way, the prop will slip.

Almost certainly a spun prop. Classic symptoms but check the shear pin.
